Life as a Mother of the Bride.... The Planning Begins!

The happy couple is just enjoying beging engaged! They are letting it all sink in and have decided to wait a few weeks to begin the planning!
April quickly sped into May and our two families shared our first holiday together. We met at Logan's Roadhouse in Weatherford to celebrate Mother's Day! Such a fun day.
May was busy with school work for Lexi and end of the year craziness for me. June arrived and the planning began!
The happy couple set their date... June 9, 2019. It seems so far into the future but we all know with planning, school, jobs, life and the details we will want their wedding to have.. it will take until June 9, 2019 to create the Fairy Tale wedding of their dreams.
This month was filled with Maid of Honor proposal, Bridesmaid proposals, Flower girl & Ring Bearer proposals! Lex envisioned how she wanted the proposals to be so we set into action making shirts, tumblers, locating Rae Dunn MOH and Bridesmaid mugs and more. The boxes for the girls turned out adorable and the littles shirts and gifts .. so cute!

Life as Mother of the Bride: Part 1: Saturday, April 28, 2018

My life as a Mother of the Bride (to the most adorable Bride to Be) begins on a beautiful Spring evening.
Callaway planned the most romantic proposal with every detail accounted for. Both sets of parents met in Sundance Square to share in their beginning to Happily Ever After! We watched in our hidden spots as Callaway got down on one knee and asked Lexi to be his forever and always! The look on her face was priceless and I'll always cherish that we got to be there for their special moment. He had even secured a photographer (the talented Rod Arnold.) Having Rod there made it even more special because we have amazing pictures to document the evening.
We went to dinner at Cantina Larado and soaked in the evening and the start of something wonderful.
My mind was racing with thoughts of wedding planning, my little girl becoming a wife and moving out of her childhood home and all the other things that come with change!
But tonight was just about celebrating the happy couple!

Life as a Mother of the Bride....

Preface: It's been forever and a day since I blogged. I looked.. it was when Lexi went away to college. Wow! What a wild ride these past 4 years have been. Do people still blog? I have all these thoughts about being a Mother of the Bride, planning the wedding, the wedding coming to fruition and my new life as Mother of the Newlywed. So for me.. I'm going to blog! If you have extra time and want to follow along.. feel free!
Grab your favorite Rae Dunn mug filled with coffee, curl up on your porch or favorite chair and enjoy my crazy year!
