Christmas In July. Day 1.. Shopping Adventures!
Our weekend adventures began on Friday at Old South Pancake House! Love that place! Nothing beats a yummy German pancake soaked in lemon and butter!! We ate, chatted & enjoyed getting to know each other!
Blue... just seemed to be the color of choice for the day! 1st stop Anthropologie with a great blue topper... Love that store! So unique and provides great inspiration!
Next stop... a wonderful & eclectic mix of vintage goodies. Everything from vintage clothing, photographs, lamp shades, tables & chairs, luggage, pink everything... curlers, hair setters~ you name it! So much more.... anything you could want.. it was there behind the fabulous screen door!! The lady that hosts this wonderful warehouse was a delight and joy to visit with! We spent quite a bit of time in the wee bit hot warehouse.. but everyone stayed happy and enjoyed the hunt!
Off to find a Sonic next~ gotta have a water break on this 105+ day!!!!
Another blue door met us at our next destination.... The door opened and we all gasped in delight, surprise and bewilderment! The showroom was filled with beads, vintage goodies galore and more... then we were escorted to the warehouse of beads, beads & more beads... vintage jewelry, beads and a few more beads! Next~ the climate controlled room filled with "stuff!".... carnival trinkets, watch faces, keys, beads, rosary chains, more carnival trinkets, and more.... The supply of "stuff" was endless! It truly was an amazing shop with great stuff! We all had our arms loaded down with stuff at the end of our bead shopping! Julie found the best vintage aqua doggie that I just loved .... she was so sweet.. She gave it to me as a gift on Saturday! I can't wait to make a necklace out of it and post pics!! Thanks again!!! I LOVE it!!
Our day seemed to go by so quickly but it was getting late.. I had a few other places planned for those who wanted a bit more of an adventure...
A Vintage Fabric store that is going out of business and having a 60 percent off sale.. wonderful seam bindings, laces, buttons and more!! Kristi & Tammy loaded up on goodies...
We really had a great day shopping together, laughing and finding great stuff to create with!
The warehouses & shops were great to welcome us into their world and let us play for a few hours!!! Thanks so much!
Christmas In July~ Day 1... A Thank You!
What an amazing weekend! Just to start I would like to thank all those who helped me achieve my goal of hosting an Art Event! It was amazing!!! My partners in fun & creativity~ Mom (Kathy) and Lexi! They sewed, mod podged & gathered supplies like crazy for me! The teachers~ Kathy, Lexi & Mendy were fabulous!! Mendy drove in from Houston for us!! The guests~ Julie, Kristi, Katherine, Kelli, Laurie & Tammy were wonderful! The Aledo Bake Shop was so welcoming, helpful and yummy! The local shops were great to provide goodies for our Welcome Bags~ Forte', Fal de Ral & Urban West... so spectacular!
The weekend met and surpassed all my goals and dreams for the day! It was the perfect size with the best mix of ladies for our first Event!!! Loved every single minute of it!!!
