We had such a fun weekend! Lisa Pace (fantastic, sweet, creative scrapper, altered artist) taught at Crop Paper Scissors in Waco this weekend! We decided to have a girls weekend~ so mom, Lexi and I headed to Waco (Gig was battling a cold and decided not to join us :(
We took two classes~ an altered "burlap" mini-book. How fun~ I have never worked with burlap before in scrapbooking! We also created a variety of vintage Easter ornaments~~~ super cute! I can't wait to finish them up and hang them on my Easter tree!
We met some super sweet ladies from Frisco and some others from Round Rock.
We also got some shopping in (of course.) What would a girl's weekend be without shopping???
I have been on the hunt for 3 specific items; a sterling silver chunky rose ring, a huge red purse with a flower on the outside and this peasant type black dress! I FOUND the purse~~ super cute!! It is huge and has the cutest huge red flower on the outside!! Perfect!!! I also found another perfect red purse~ so now I have two great new red purses! I'll have to wear red when we go out to celebrate our anniversary on Thursday! I still haven't found the black dress or rose ring.. but I will!
I also got the entire new collection of Teresa Collins stamps in... Mr. and Mrs., Chic Baby girl and Home! I had gotten the papers last weekend! I just need to start creating.
I have been working on my Theresa McFayden embroidery sampler~ I will post pictures soon! It is coming along nicely! I also joined her Art journal e-zine and have the cover finished~ more pictures to follow.
I have some fun news to post tomorrow!!! Until then....
Have a great Academy Awards night!!!
Call Golightly's Gallery in North Richland hills. They used to have a sterling ring exactly like what you're looking for. Hopefully they still have one. (it was in the front jewelry case)
