Paper Cowgirl Art Retreat

I have just now gotten to post about Paper Cowgirl! It was amazing!! It surpased all expectations of an Art Retreat!! I have never been around so many talented and creative ladies at one time! It is amazing how much talent Texas has~ we do everything bigger in Texas!!!
The weekend began with Welcome night on Thursday at the Dove's Nest~ the cutest store in town!!! We exchanged our swaps this night~ I received the most amazing sash, cuff, paper dolls, ATC cards, vintage hat, horses & memory book pages!!! All the swaps were amazing!!!
Friday morning we began our classes~ I loved my La Petite Boutique altered canvas with Cindy Gilstrap~~~ to cute! I already have mine and Lexi's displayed in our home! That afternoon we took Jennifer Stewart's 4th of July vintage banner~~ loved it! Her classes are always amazing! I still need to string it together and hang it on the mantle!!
Friday night was our dinner at Catfish Plantation~what a fun night! The restaurant~~ it really is haunted~ the picture on the wall~~ spooky!!! I met some wonderful and talented women during dinner! Loved meeting my new Houston, Austin & Mansfield friends! We then went shopping on the town square~~ I always love shopping!!!
Saturday morning began with Ann Denise's Vintage Muslin Boot class~~ so fun but I'm not even close to finishing~~ I need to get busy! I love Ann Denise and her crepe paper fun! The afternoon was my class ~ Altered Bird Box~ the ladies were delightful and we had a wonderful afternoon! All of the ladies were so sweet and most finished their projects~ it was a glittery afternoon of fun!
Saturday evening was the Vendor Fair~ oh my!!! Lexi had to practically run my booth all evening because I was so overwhelmed with the amount of wonderful shopping opportunites~ I loved buying crepe paper from Whim & Fancy, digi class kit from Mendy (can't wait to start playing with it!), tons of amazing vintage items from Lisa McIlvain~~ loved her booth!!!! Seam Binding and sheet music from Jennifer Stewart (her booth was adorable!) Some great chandelier pieces and vintage shoe forms from one booth~~ Cute, cute variety of items from Cindy G's booth and mom got an adorable apron from Joanna's booth~ it might technically be hers but it is hanging in my studio!! I also got an adorable necklace and cuff to make from Chantel's booth~~ another talented lady I enjoyed meeting!!!
We closed up the weekend with dinner at a yummy Mexican restaurant in town with mom, Lexi, Cindy G, Courtney and Vilma!!!!
What an amazing weekend! I can't wait for next year! I hope to keep in touch with all my new creative & talented friends!!!
