Classes for Petticoats on the Prairie!!
Join us at Petticoats on the Prairie~ October 21 & 22nd! It should be a kick up your heels great weekend of creating, shopping & fun!
We will be having a mini-project come & go in the afternoon on Friday from 2:00-4:00pm... Ladies will stop by during this time and create a Texas Mum! Stop by anytime for about 15-30 minutes and create a unique "Texas Mum on the Prairie!" We will use all things fit for a Prairie girl.... burlap, muslin, lace and more! You will alter a flower, create some burlap flowers with the Big Shot, add in some fun laces, burlap strips, muslin strips, a great prairie gal image, stamp the date, stamp your favorite saying or "Petticoats on the Praire" attach it all to a vintage flashcard and your off for more shopping with a great memory of the weekend to wear or attach to your favorite bag!! All supplies will be provided! Mini- project cost $15.00
Take a break from your shopping Saturday morning from 10:00-12:00 to unleash your creativity, socialize with other creativie ladies and create a fanciful crown fit for the finest Praire Girl. We will begin with a base crown, cover it with vintage inspired cream papers, vintage dictionary pages, & vintage hymnals. We will then embellish our crown with feathers, laces, ribbons, maribu, flowers, and agreat prairie girl image~ add a bit of bling and have a crown ready to display! All supplies will be provided! (feel free to bring your own picture to personalize.. if you wish) Crown project cost $35.00

So excited to be teaching at Petticoats on the Prairie!!
Hey ladies!!! Saddle up and put your boots on and join me in West Texas on October 21 & 22nd! It's a weekend full of great shopping, making new friends & creating!!
I'll be teaching my crown class~ specially re-designed with the cutest cowgirls this side of the Mississippi!!I'll have all of the supplies on hand~ so just head on out and get ready to create!!
Your kit comes in a great Covered In Glitter bag adorned with a special "Prairie" inspired flower! All of the materials for your class and of course some special GLITTER for you to enjoy!I'll have the basic kit supplies out for us to share as well~ scissors, adhesive, etc!
Crown class is $35.00

We will be presenting "Brunch at the Barn"...an early-bird shopping event from 10:00am till 12:00 noon on Friday the 21st. More details to come..but you won't want to miss this special event, with delicious food, door prizes, shopping and more! Tickets will be limited, so check back often to reserve yours when they go up for grabs!
Show Location: Mitchell Country Fairgrounds in the Show Barn

General Admission: $5.00 at the gate.

My ghoulish project is featured above...! I created this fun altered black/white german glass doll head~ one of my fav things right now!!! I added the head to a small black & white vase and added some fun doll parts to the mix! Love some of the new Halloween papers out! I just can't get enough of them!! It will look great sitting on my buffet during the ghoulish season!!

Pocket Full of Memories Blog Hop

Here is my Fleur de Lis Pocket Mini Album! What fun library pockets are to create with! Love it..... I created this mini album as a Birthday Album for my Birthday Art Event and thought what fun it would be to add pockets to add little pieces of memories in! I really love how the pockets turned out using many pinks, creams and golds! Mini albums are one of my favorite things to create!

Shopping at Antique Alley~ what fun! I found a few goodies.. quite a few of my regular & favorite vendors weren't there.. I think they had already headed down to Round Top :(But there was still lots of goodies!
Saturday was great! We created a Crown, Wand & Book! It was so exciting~ Jess from Kinderstampo stopped by to enjoy lunch with us and show us some of the new stamps & charms!! She made each of us the cutest tag~ loved it!! What a great treat!!
Julie, Laurie, Cami, Tammy, Nikki, Kathy, Lexi & I had a great day of creating! I can't wait until our next creative journey!

Hi Ya'll! I'm a mom/wife/teacher/artist/creator from a small town outside of Ft. Worth, Texas! I love to wear many hats!! I have been creating since I was a small girl with my mom & grandmother. Luckily my daughter Lexi has the same passion for creating! In real life~ I teach 1st grade! I love seeing the spark in a 6 year olds eyes when they realize they can read for the 1st time! It is very similiar to the spark I see in other ladies eyes when they realize they really are creative and enjoy the process of bringing something artistic to life! When I'm not being a mom, wife, daughter, teacher or artist you will find me enjoying my small towns Friday night Football Games and traveling to new and exciting Art Events!
Craft~
I would call my style of crafting as Shabby Chic! I love pinks, creames & anything Covered in Glitter! I love to create mixed media art, scrapbook & stamping projects & jewelry! I love Vintage~~ I enjoy the hunt of finding that something perfect as well as remaking it!! Anything that comes within my reach is subject to being altered!!! Creating makes me so happy~~~ I have to do something creative every day!
Inspire~
I love inspiring others with new techniques and ideas! It is so much fun to see someone get excited when they create something new and finish a project! I love to host Art Events and see women from all walks of life join together to create, giggle and just have a great time!

I love the State Fair of Texas!!!
((My very favorite project... My Valentine Assemblage with a crown, dress form & gloves!! It was my favorite and it didn't even place!!! I guess my taste is a bit different than the judges!))

Since I was a little girl~ I have loved going to the State Fair of Texas! I've passed this love on to Lexi!! My favorite part of the day is grazing... love the corny dogs, Texas shaped nachos & cotton candy! I also love the Creative Arts Building!
Last year I decided to enter a few Artsy Crafty items into the fair... I got 2 Honorable Mentions!
This year I decided to enter.. I think 15 items!! I actually placed with 9 items this year.. Very exciting!!! :)
It totally gives me an excuse to "Have" to go to the Fair!! Not that I really need an excuse... it is a yearly tradition!

The Happy Birthday Memory Book!
All the books will be created with a variety of papers to create unique on of a kind books, you will have choices in colors of papers, if you want it to complement your crown~ I will have creme papers out as well! You will be provided many embellishements for your book~ candles, ballerina, domino decor, and lots more. You will need to bring the bling for the cover (rhinestone crown not included.)

Happy Birthday Mini ARt EvEnt!
September is a month of Birthday's in our home! It begins on the 4th with my Grandfather's, the 10th is MiNe (and this year is a biggie), the 19th Grandad's, the 29th Jake's & the 30th ((the most important of all....)) Lexi's!! September is a month to just CELEBRATE!!
So... I thought what better way to CELEBRATE than to have a day of creating and a day of shopping! My two favorite things to do!
A MiNi ARt EveNt for you to join in on!!
September 16th & 17th
On Friday we will meet … for some of the best outdoor scenic adventure filled shopping in Texas~ Where the motto is~ “Have fun~ Life if not a “Dress Rehearsal”~ This is it!! I have some great shopping spots picked out for us to visit and we will wander around the rest of the time! We will have Lunch together during the day! Price of lunch not included. ((Optional of course! But oh.. so fun!))
On Saturday We will create a Birthday Crown , Wand & Birthday memory book! The Crown is one of my favorites!! We will create with a gorgeous creme colored paper crown..., We will add layers of lace, a variety of trim, delicate creme vintage buttons, feathers, maribu, lace & paper flowers and a bit of bling. A simple but elegant wand to match and a fun filled eclectic vintage inspired Birthday memory book! You will create some wonderful birthday decor items to use for years to come and the book will hold all those special birthday memory photos.

Price for the day:
$63.00 for Saturday’s 3 projects, a fun Covered In Glitter bag & lunch. Saturday's classes will be held in Aledo at my home decked out in Birthday decor.
Registration will be limited.
Christmas is still in the Air... creating for an upcoming project!
I decided I simply must begin using my "Good Stuff!" I've been shopping and collecting lots of new laces, trims and embellishements lately! Now I will begin to use them! I'm also using my Gilded Stash that I have put up.... Love the result of using the good stuff :)
